Open Position: Woodworking Technician
​
Reports to: Owners/General Managers
​
Hours: 32-40 hours/week
​
Job Purpose: The purpose of this job is to assist in the shop and to perform general operational duties as required.  This position will assist the current personnel and perform tasks that are required to deliver high quality custom cabinets on time. 
​
Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Understand drawings (i.e. detailed architectural drawings, schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints)

  • Prepare and set up machines and tools for woodwork manufacturing

  • Lift wood pieces onto machines, either by hand or with hoists

  • Sanding, finishing, packing product

  • Daily general clean up 

  • Assist with shipping and receiving

  • Ensure that products meet industry standards and project specifications, making adjustments as necessary

  • Use hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products

  • Meet production goals with precision

  • Must know the proper use and safe handling of hand power tools in the cabinet building trade

  • Proficient at using a tape measure

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment

  • Must be quality oriented and be able to produce high-quality product

  • Attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability

  • Ability to effectively assist and communicate with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Strong ability to be flexible, effectively adapt well to change

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED or Technical School Training

  • Custom woodworking experience in small to medium sized professional shop environment preferred but not necessary

  • Can set-up and work safely with all types of professional grade woodworking equipment

  • Must be well-organized and able to keep a clean work environment

  • Must have integrity, motivation, & a flexible mindset 

  • Must pass drug test and have clean background record

  • Must provide own transportation

  • Professional and/ or Personal References Required

Working Conditions:

​

Must be able to work in a custom cabinet shop environment that may include dust, paint, finishing, etc.

​

Physical Requirements:

​

  • Able to lift 75lbs. 

  • Should be able bend/stand, reach, squat, twist, crawl, climb stairs, kneel, and must have good balance

  • Must be able to work on your feet for all work time
